This is a slim and lightweight AF wide-angle prime lens designed for full-frame 35mm cameras. The Sony E-mount version has an overall length of 23.8mm and weighs approximately 130g. The Nikon Z-mount version features a compact design with an overall length of 25.8mm and a weight of approximately 170g. It's easy to carry even when attached to the camera, allowing for a light and enjoyable shooting style for street photography, travel, and everyday snapshots.
The optical system consists of 8 elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical elements and one high-refractive-index element. It delivers high resolving power in the center of the frame from the maximum aperture of F2.8 while effectively suppressing various aberrations. When combined with in-camera lens correction functions, it produces natural depictions with corrected distortion.
The focus drive employs a geared STM motor, achieving quiet and smooth autofocus. Despite its compact barrel, it features independent aperture and focus rings, enabling intuitive operation tailored to your shooting intentions.
