Inspired by classic lenses from the 1950s, this product is a slim-profile pancake lens. We have added a new 28mm wide-angle model to our lineup, based on the design philosophy of the "Eureka" series: blending the classic aesthetic beauty of the exterior with modern optical design. It features a compact brass lens barrel and a high-quality special paint finish, designed to harmonize with the camera, achieving a sense of unity when attached. The optical design, incorporating aspherical and high-refractive index lenses, delivers stable, high-resolution performance from the center to the periphery of the image, while effectively suppressing flare, ghosting, and vignetting. It achieves natural and clear depiction with minimal distortion. The exterior design evokes the classic look of the 1950s, inspired by the renowned British Dallmeyer 35mm f/3.5 Anastigmat lens and the classic Ilford Advocate camera that used it. We have reinterpreted the neat and compact style of the 1950s in a form suitable for modern cameras. Available in two colors, "Black" and "Silver," with a special paint finish achieved through a unique craft technique. You can choose from different tonal textures to match your preference and the camera body you use.
Compact yet modern optical design
An advanced optical design with one aspherical lens and two high-refractive index lenses achieves excellent descriptive power in a compact size. It renders fine details sharply from the center to the periphery of the image, along with smooth tonal gradations. By suppressing flare and ghosting and reducing vignetting and distortion, it provides stable image quality across the entire frame.
Minimum focusing distance 0.4m
Despite its compact size, it offers excellent close-up performance, allowing for detailed expression when shooting subjects at close range. You can capture intricate details by getting close to small objects, or enjoy a wide range of expressions such as cityscapes, street photography, and portraits.
